well. my grades for this semester are now in the hands of the curve gods. i am praying that since i have pleased the curve gods for years they will understand my situation this semester and help me out a little bit. i don't need a lot of help, just enough. 2 more finals. law on thursday and marketing on friday. hopefully they go better than real estate law today. although i kicked ass in philosophy i think. :) see, that should please the curve gods too to make up for my other classes...
ugh. what an awful couple of days. i'm exhausted. and not feeling very productive or satisfied with all the effort i have put in. hopefully the next couple days will be better. i think they will be. i'm optimistic about it. but i couldn't resist a blog entry before bed. i love this thing. plus i wanted to listen to music for a little bit.
my best friend from high school called me tonight to ask if i wanted to go to his mom's holiday party next friday. that's cool. should be fun. something to do while i'm in the boring ass tundra of eagle river. i haven't seen him since freshman year of college. then he turned into a crazy drag queen who ditched all his friends and family AND stole my name. yeah that's right, there was a drag queen named after me. i was pissed. he went by Kourtney Andrews. luckily he has turned his life around and gotten out of that scene. anyway, it'll be good to see him while i'm home.
i'm also going to see some of my old high school teachers and my old guidance counselor, with whom i was really close during high school. so that should be fun. although it will be really fucking strange to be in that school for the first time in years...especially since all of the teachers i had are retired now and no one will know me. weeeeird. and i'm excited to get together with my old vocal coach too. her and my mom now get together and drink wine together and talk about me. wonderful. haha. apparently she's going to force me to sing even though i suck now. which stinks. because i don't want to disappoint her. she said i was the best student she ever had. sometimes i think i should've continued to sing and act in college rather than get involved with business stuff. but it's so up in the air...i wouldn't have my dream job right now had i sang and acted at State. well...actually maybe i would have had a different dream job...a record contract or something. HA wishful thinking on that one. longwinded story to say that i'll be happy to see Patti and maybe be good at singing again by the end of the week. i have a funny feeling that the entire week is going to be a lot of reminiscing. which will be strange for me.
great editorial in the lansing state journal today. go read it: http://www.lsj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051213/OPINION02/512130301/1087/opinion go to the bottom of the page, "When's victory?" the lady did a great job of articulating the thoughts and frustrations of what i think are in a lot of people's heads. i know they roam around in mine at least. *get out get out get out!* maybe if i get rid of them the little leprechaun jumping on my neck will go away too!!! ;)
shit my life is so happy right now overall i have literally only one thing to truly complain about. and i won't have to complain about it for too much longer. it's almost the home stretch now. goodnight moon, and hello 10 hours of glorious sleep and very pleasant dreams!
