wOOt! it's Christmas Eve!! and actually, it's only 35 minutes till Christmas, and it's already Christmas in Michigan!! how exciting. i forget how much i actually do like the holiday season. it's been nice so far, that's for sure. i've really enjoyed spending time with my family and just my parents too. i'm so glad i came home for a week. it's been good. :)
yesterday my grandma and her boyfriend tom came up and also my uncle bill, who we weren't sure was coming. so we all sat around our dining room table and had drinks and talked and laughed. it was so much fun. stuff like that is my favorite. :) then today, we went to my uncle bob and aunt sarah's house for our Kubacki Family Christmas, which was also very nice. they have a really cute cat! but totally not cuter than Brewer. and definitely not as nice. and a little chubbier. but she was still cute. anyway, we had good food, and good fun, and some good presents too! then we watched a Christmas story, which is always a great holiday movie. especially since the little boy is just like my uncle bill when he was a kid. so my Mom always gets all nostalgic: "oh bill!! that was me!!! always picking up your glasses when you got in fights so you wouldn't get in trouble for breaking them!!!" silly Mom. good times. and now my grandma and tom and uncle bill leave tomorrow morning, and i will just have Christmas with my Mom and Joe and hang out. which will be nice. i almost feel like i haven't even gotten enough time with them! which is weird. because usually i am sick of them by this time. i'm just more sick of being bored. it's ok though, i'll see my mom soon enough, then i'll see them both for spring break in florida, and then i'll see them for graduation and probably a whole lot after graduation when i am moving. i love my parents. they're the bestest! so our nice little family of 3 Christmas will be all cozy and warm :)
but i also get to pack. pack up all my nice clean laundry and all my nice new presents, shove it all in my car, grab my silly kitty, and GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE!!!! can't wait. my plan is to leave between 9 and 10 on monday morning, hopefully closer to 9. which would put me back in east lansing by 7 at the latest as long as the roads are decent, and it is looking like they will be. i know i hate this drive. i am dreading it. i always feel so awful for Brewer because he can't eat or drink and he can't go potty in the car. well he could, but he just doesn't, so 7-8 hours without that just makes me feel like a bad Mom. :( but he'll get through it. he'll be fine. and i'm not gonna lie, it's gonna be tough for me to get through it too! it takes so FUCKING LONG because the drive is through the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!! ugh. but what's at the other end makes it all so much more than worth it. so i'm excited. :) more than excited. fucking ecstatic. and everyone knows that by now haha...oh well...so i like to share my enthusiasm with everyone i know...so what!!?? :)
less than 48 hours left on the countdown. i almost can't believe it is here! but i'm so glad it is. kisses will be the best Christmas present of all :)

well. hmmm. i'm bored. and i am tired. but i am not ready to go to bed for some weird reason. so i guess i'll update my bloggy.
today i went over to my friend Brian's house for a few hours. he's the only person i have ever known since we were like 4, and we have always been friends. kind of in a strange way because we didn't like hang out in high school or anything, but still, we could always say hey and talk to each other and stuff. we were always cool. Brian went into the navy out of high school and ended up being a medic and going to iraq twice. the 2nd time he got hurt. not good. his arm got blown up by a bomb and he got seriously rocked because it was literally like 2 feet away from him. :( but he is coming along and doing pretty well right now, though he isn't in the navy anymore and he can't get back in and he hates that. he was one of those guys who wanted to be a lifer. and it just sucks because he would've been so great and he still wants to be, but something out of his control stopped him. i hate that. anyway, he is now living in madison and going to school there starting in january. so that will be good for him too. he was never a school person, believe me, but the military did him good in changing that. and in changing him in a very good way think. although, he is definitely still the same old Brian in a lot of ways. like in the way that he likes to go out and get trashed and party and whatever, and is a freaking sex addict who tends to go from girl to girl. although i was quite shocked to learn that he almost proposed to a girl and even got her a freaking $3500 ROCK! good thing he didn't go through with it. he definitely wasn't ready for that. haha. so anyway, too much background there, but we just sat and talked and talked and talked and talked for like almost 5 hours. the whole afternoon. it was really great. we got to talking a lot about so much random stuff. lots about relationships. a little reminiscing. a little about patriotism. and even a little about his injuries. it felt so good to just be like we always were. i'm very glad to have a friend like him. and i'm definitely going to be putting in a lot more effort to keep him closer. i have missed him for sure and i am actually really glad that he will be so close now. i will definitely call him up now that i actually can and get together with him when i am in madtown. (yes, joshy, i will come visit him and MAYBE stop by to see you ;) LOVE YOU!!!) and i managed to snap a picture of us. that made me happy. it's definitely going up on the bulletin board with all my other best friends.
it really made me think a lot, like why on earth did i lose touch with him over the past 2 years? what the hell was wrong with me? i had his address in iraq both times, i had his address when he was in the hospital in california...what kind of friend am i? were other things so much more important that i couldn't take 10 minutes out of my day to write him a letter? i am so frustrated with myself for that. and i told him that. and he understood, but still. i feel like such a jerk. i only hope that i can make it up somehow. but it's so different. i can't take it back that i didn't bother to write him while he was in iraq or send him a get well card while he was in the hospital recovering and fucking going crazy for months on end. and i really do care about him so much. ugh, i'm just so glad he's safe and well now. and i'm glad i can get to be friends with him again on a regular basis. someone was definitely watching over Brian that's for sure.
tomorrow i am going out to lunch with my aunt and then my grandma and her boyfriend will be staying at my house. and i'm supposed to go to tony's for his mom's like cocktail party or something. we'll see. at least i have some sort of plans. the ants are getting in my pants!!!!! i knew my limit was about 5 days here, and it's been 5 days. i am starting to think i'll never be able to get through the next 4 days. and it's driving me insane. the countdown has suddenly reached a standstill for me. crap. it was going so smoothly. maybe i'm just tired and irritable because i miss my sunshine so much. and i know that he's on his way back to michigan and i'm worried about him and also a little sad that i won't be able to see him tomorrow when everyone else will. fuckers. i'm gonna pee on all their cars when i see them.
enough bitching. i should just be happy that it's almost Christmas. and since it's almost Christmas, it's almost time to go back to michigan. thank goodness. it's been forever. ok not forever. but like i said, i'm just feeling it right now. it's because i'm not occupied with school or friends or work or whatever. thank God i'm going to be busy for the next year and a half or i'd fucking go out of my mind. ENOUGH BITCHING!!!!
life revelation update #3: having some second thoughts. got a 3.5 in fucking marketing. upside on that--beck's getting his fucking arms broken soon.

well. i got another job offer. from rockbridge capital. out of columbus. i was a big naughty girl and didn't call them back for like a week and a half after my interview there. woops. they totally put me on the spot about it and i was like ummmm wellllllll...i was busy with finals etc etc etc...basically i'm a jerk. but lo and behold, they still gave me the offer. i like them sooooo much i am going to have the hardest time turning them down :( i'm still waiting for Centex, but i'll still take Centex. in fact i think i'm going to email or call them again today. only a couple days till xmas, and i want to know exactly what's going on before then. anyway, it's good though, i got the offers i really wanted.
i also got my new digital camera yesterday :) a canon powershot sd400. i am soooooooo excited!!! i love it to pieces. now i can take bazillions of pictures and never ever ever ever lose them!!!! it's really very cool. i've been playing with it all morning. it was a fun shopping trip with tony yesterday. haven't seen him in ages but it was just like old times. which was good. we had a fun time driving around and being random and buying fun things. i got a sweater, a shirt, an adorable pair of undies ;) and a brown pair of shoes to go with my brown swishy pants. i also got presents for Bart that i think will be good. i think. i hope!! and something for my Stacey. i know hers is a good present she will like for sure. so it was a successful day.
and then we came back to my house and hung out and stuff. and then Joe backed into tony's car this morning. hahahahaaaa it was crazy. my mom came in my room this morning to wake us up and was like and um tony? just so you know...Joe backed into your car this morning and it's pretty smushed. and it was totally crunched hahaha. hood all crunched up, lights all busted, power steering out...but luckily we have a shop and he'll get everything fixed to better than it was without having to file a claim. just a funny random story :)
so it is tuesday. and i'm sitting here chillin out because i have absolutely nothing else to do!!! i LOVE IT!!! i am going to finish this entry, finish watching hitch, and then read. a book that doesn't have ANYTHING to do with school!!! in fact, i'm very excited to start this book. i really hope i can finish it by the end of the week or i will never finish it. and i want to. and also, since it's tuesday that cuts the countdown to less than a week. less than 7 days in this place and i finally get my real Christmas present, the best one!!! :) i cannot wait. CANNOT WAIT!!!
life revelation update #2: got a 4.0 in philosophy. things really are going to be ok afterall! it's working!!!
oh and i'd like to congratulate my favorite soldier on his official promotion to sergeant ;)

so i'm home in eagle river. that's right, eagle river, wisconsin. look it up on mapquest. it's in the middle of nowhere. smallest crappiest town you can find. if you can find it. but for as much as i can't stand it, it's good to be home for a few days. i definitely can't handle it for more than a few days, but i should be pretty busy the whole time that i am home, so that will make it at least halfway acceptable. the main problem is that there is just nothing to do here, everything closes by 7, and everyone goes to bed by 9. i can't handle it at all!!!!!! i go to bed at like 3 at the earliest. what the hell am i supposed to do for the extra 6 hours!!!?????!!! ugh. oh well. i guess i'll drink a lot. haha. (which i covered for tonight :))
tonight me, my mom, joe, and my grandma aggie went to nero's, which is my old vocal coach's restaurant here in town. and it the hippest coolest place in about a 200 mile radius. a martini bar in EAGLE RIVER!!! that's ridiculous. ludicrous! absolutely UNHEARD OF!!! but it's amazing, and thank GOD she made it. i had a great time. dinner was really good. the drinks were really good. even though i had to water down my martini for like an hour just to be able to drink it...and then i sang. i was so nervous. SO nervous. i was just sweating and shaking. and that's not normal for me. but oh well, it happens when you haven't done it in forever. but the whole bar liked it. patti was pleased. my mom was happy, of course. and everyone only had good things to say. and also, a nice lady bought me a drink :) it was good. then the bartender introduced me to the wonderful world of bailey's and frangelico. what a great drink. i mean both are great alone, but add them together and WOW! it's like double the pleasure, double the fun!!!!
AND joe made homemade irish creme!!! AMAZING!!! it was sooooooooooo good. my mom and i stayed up for like 2 hours drinking it and looking at old pictures of her and my real father. it was pretty cool. it was nice to see more than 2 pictures of him. and my mom is just so pretty. she was seriously the most gorgeous woman you have ever seen in your life when she was young. she was absolutely beautiful. can't take your eyes off of her type of beautiful. and i'm not just saying it because she's my mom. she had a perfect body, thin and muscular, great face, pretty long, long dark brown hair, and of course a great smile. no wonder all the guys loved her and all the girls were jealous of her. she's still amazingly gorgeous and everyond is still jealous of her. anyway, the pictures were really neat to see, and it was fun to talk with her for the whole night. which we literally did. just talked for hours. i love my mom so much. she's the best thing in my life. and our relationship just keeps getting better. she used to be so critical of me about so many things...but now she just understands me more and i can tell she is just so happy for me. and i am so appreciative of that. i love it.
i also love that tomorrow i will wake up and it will be sunday. i get to see my whole (step) family and have our Christmas together. it will be great, i can't wait. (hehe a little rhyme for ya.) i love family. it is all meaning so much more to me the older i get i think. not like i'm that old, but still, i realize now that these are the most important people in my life and this limited time i get with them is incredibly valuable.
and i love that tomorrow is sunday because it cuts the countdown to 8 days. if my family is the most important thing in my life, what's at the end of this coundown is a close second. soon to be a tie.
life revelation update: i got a 4.0 in real estate law. everything's gonna be alright.

well. my grades for this semester are now in the hands of the curve gods. i am praying that since i have pleased the curve gods for years they will understand my situation this semester and help me out a little bit. i don't need a lot of help, just enough. 2 more finals. law on thursday and marketing on friday. hopefully they go better than real estate law today. although i kicked ass in philosophy i think. :) see, that should please the curve gods too to make up for my other classes...
ugh. what an awful couple of days. i'm exhausted. and not feeling very productive or satisfied with all the effort i have put in. hopefully the next couple days will be better. i think they will be. i'm optimistic about it. but i couldn't resist a blog entry before bed. i love this thing. plus i wanted to listen to music for a little bit.
my best friend from high school called me tonight to ask if i wanted to go to his mom's holiday party next friday. that's cool. should be fun. something to do while i'm in the boring ass tundra of eagle river. i haven't seen him since freshman year of college. then he turned into a crazy drag queen who ditched all his friends and family AND stole my name. yeah that's right, there was a drag queen named after me. i was pissed. he went by Kourtney Andrews. luckily he has turned his life around and gotten out of that scene. anyway, it'll be good to see him while i'm home.
i'm also going to see some of my old high school teachers and my old guidance counselor, with whom i was really close during high school. so that should be fun. although it will be really fucking strange to be in that school for the first time in years...especially since all of the teachers i had are retired now and no one will know me. weeeeird. and i'm excited to get together with my old vocal coach too. her and my mom now get together and drink wine together and talk about me. wonderful. haha. apparently she's going to force me to sing even though i suck now. which stinks. because i don't want to disappoint her. she said i was the best student she ever had. sometimes i think i should've continued to sing and act in college rather than get involved with business stuff. but it's so up in the air...i wouldn't have my dream job right now had i sang and acted at State. well...actually maybe i would have had a different dream job...a record contract or something. HA wishful thinking on that one. longwinded story to say that i'll be happy to see Patti and maybe be good at singing again by the end of the week. i have a funny feeling that the entire week is going to be a lot of reminiscing. which will be strange for me.
great editorial in the lansing state journal today. go read it: http://www.lsj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051213/OPINION02/512130301/1087/opinion go to the bottom of the page, "When's victory?" the lady did a great job of articulating the thoughts and frustrations of what i think are in a lot of people's heads. i know they roam around in mine at least. *get out get out get out!* maybe if i get rid of them the little leprechaun jumping on my neck will go away too!!! ;)
shit my life is so happy right now overall i have literally only one thing to truly complain about. and i won't have to complain about it for too much longer. it's almost the home stretch now. goodnight moon, and hello 10 hours of glorious sleep and very pleasant dreams!

i feel like i can't start my homework yet, so i'm going to waste some more time writing a blog entry.
i have to write an essay take home exam today and tomorrow. and it's very long and involved. i have a feeling it's going to be a good 10 pages by the time i'm done. questions like whether God exists, what is the most reasonable ethical theory, can ethical relativism be supported. you get my point, it's going to be a long process. so i'll put it off for probably about another 15 minutes. a nice round noon sounds good to me.
then i have to start studying for my real estate law final on tuesday morning. which sucks too. i'm doing really well in that class, but i missed 1.5 classes in this last unit, and i fell asleep for about 4 of them. though i have read the chapters and done the homeworks, it's still tough material and i'll probably have to study the slides A LOT to refamiliarize myself with everything enough to get a 4.0 on the exam. which i have not on the last 2 exams. if i can pull off like an 88 or higher, i should be good though. plus the prof said that she grades easier than it looks currently, so i'm not too worried. i am also not too worried because i probably have one of the highest grades in the class. the caliber of my classmates leaves something to be desired...and so do the manners, seeing as they like to fart in class and then laugh like 5 year olds.
so last night. what can i say about last night. wow. never before have i watched porn for 5 straight hours. with a big group of people. boys and girls. while playing beer pong. yeah, wow. who does that? apparently my friends and i... probably one of the funniest nights of my life. not only was my pirate porn thoroughly enjoyed, but it was determined to be better than dan's creepy internet porn, even though it still might be one of the worst dvd porns you can buy. but it wins out because the pirate dude actually says "arrrghhhh" several times during the sex scenes, which is much better than a girl jerking off a guy with her feet and another girl saying "fuck my college pussy" numerous times AND "my friend's hot mom" saying "i love young cum in my mouth" or something like that...you get my drift, the pirates rule. hmmmm. and now i am thinking i possibly didn't really need to go into that much detail, but you're probably laughing right?? and that's what counts :) because i know we all were, that is for sure. good thing billy and daryl came up, i'm sure it was unlike any other night they've spent up here. ha.
and i played a game of beer pong, which i never do. and found out why i don't. tom STINKS at it. i made 3 cups and he actually knocked one over and we both ended up with full cups of beer. jeez, i got screwed.
and i drank kahlua. YUM. sooooooooooo good. and it also gave me my daily value's worth of calcium :) drinking can be healthy!
i'd also like to mention my kick ass lunch yesterday with bill and carolyn. great friends, yummy drinks, and gorging ourselves on all you can eat soup, salad, and breadsticks. not to mention being that table of people who you can't stop listening to but want to get kicked out because they are so obnoxious and talking about boozing, pissing, partying, puking, and other disturbing things while you are trying to eat. excellent.
2 weeks. TWO WEEKS!!!!! so glad it's going faster than i thought it would. hmmmm...but it's leaving me with much less time to figure out xmas presents...maybe i'll just put a big bow on my head :)
i have such excellent timing!!! it is exactly 12:00 noon. :)

oh burgerama. how do i love thee? let me count the ways...
1) you have $3 pitchers of coors light
2) you have nice long tables to accommodate all of our friends
3) you are warm in the winter and cool in the summer
4) you make yummy shots for people to buy me
5) you have bathrooms that aren't too disgusting for when it's necessary to break the seal
6) you're less than 10 blocks from my front door
7) you make it ok for me to start drinking at 4 and be done by 9!
i'm sure there are many more than 6 ways that someone can love the riv, but right now, those are the main reasons of importance.
what a great night. that was fun. everything i ever hoped it would be!!! haha...apparently i need to make more time, at least once or twice a month, to get nice and schnockered, because i missed that wayyyyy too much :) and because bill was the one who got kicked out of the bar at like 9, i had an excuse to go home and not get too much more retarded, and it led to a HILARIOUS walk home, me and chelsea falling all over ourselves in the snow, getting picked up by martin, and proceeding to fall in the snow again and make snow angels on our front lawn :) it was great! it also led to me being in bed by like 10 or something like that, and getting 10 hours of glorious sleep!!!! so, maybe in order to take care of my insomnia problem, i should just start drinking every day at like 4...???
and now it has snowed like 6 inches or so and i am dying wishing i was home so i could go outside and play in the snow and build forts and walk around in the woods. but wait, there are no woods, no one would go outside with me, and there's no place to build a fort. east lansing sucks. well, technically, so does eagle river, but it's the country bumpkin lumberjack within me on days like these that brings out a little hometown pride for snow :)
i feel like doing nothing. nothing nothing nothing. and actually, i don't really have to do anything either!!! at some point i have to trudge out into the weather, which will piss me off, but i don't really have to do it right now. and later i want to go Christmas shopping. that will be fun. but not yet. i also have to go pick up some pictures from target. that will be fun too. but not until later. and i definitely have to start writing my philosophy take home exam soon. but i might not start that until tomorrow since it's not due till tuesday. so that gives me the opportunity right now to sit on my big fat bottom and do nothing for a couple of hours! excellent!

michael buble is truly amazing. only frank sinatra can beat him and harry connick jr. is a close 3rd place. not only do i absolutely adore good jazz music, but wow, a crooner like this guy? it's wonderful. his music just makes me melt. download "home" and his version of "fever." both excellent. and try to forget that he's from canada. i'll let this guy be an honorary American.
so where were my big huge warm army issued mittens today????? because holy shitballs it was freeeeeezing!!!! my little nosey was all red and sniffly it was so cold! and i was even all covered up with my scarf up to my eyeballs. (which by the way, i know i might look ridiculous with my scart up to my eyeballs and my hat down to my eyebrows, but i am warm and you are not! looking cool is NOT one of my objectives when it is below freezing outside! if i could wear snowpants i would!) speaking of, how can anyone possibly get by without a scarf? i HATE not having a scarf!! and what the hell was with the dude i saw today not wearing a jacket at all. literally the guy was wearing tearaway pants, a long sleeved tshirt, and that was it. no mittens, no hat, no jacket, no nothing! he's definitely going to be sick tomorrow because it was 7 today. 7 degrees. freakin midwest. what exactly makes me want to stay here again? oh yeah, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, and very minimal amounts of tornadoes. i remember now.
burgerama tomorrow. i can't wait. everybody knows i'm not a big drinker but man, it's been a long long while since i had a chance to hang loose and have some drinks. i'm pretty excited! and maybe i can celebrate my offer from Centex if i hear back from them tomorrow. i am kind of antsy to know the details now. well, very antsy actually. but at least i know the offer is out there. which deserves a pitcher! shit, just getting through the last month deserves a pitcher! I DESERVE A PITCHER!!!!! and unfortunately enough, i will probably have a few more than "a" pitcher and end up freezing somewhere in an alley on my way home...hopefully my friendly friends will take care of me! i am making a prediction that i will be in rough shape by 9pm. we'll see. at least i know i'll love every minute of it!
and then it will be friday. and i will have ZERO classes left for the semester!!! i plan on doing some shopping, a whole lot of relaxing, possibly some studying, and hopefully some catching up with sunshine.
i can't believe the semester is over. insane. it's crazy how time flies. i just hope it keeps flying! well...sometimes...anyway, freakin excellent, all my group projects are over tomorrow! i can start to rebuild my life! at THE RAMA!!!! :)

well everyone, you can relax and stop holding your breath because i'm getting an offer from Centex! YAY!!! i finally stopped being scared and just emailed the recruiter and he said that they were still finalizing the details of their offer and they just hadn't decided where they want to start me. yes, that's where they want to start me, not if they want to start me. so i will hear from him again tomorrow afternoon. excellent! i can sleep again and relax. all that whining about not getting a job for Christmas was unwarranted. looks like it's going to be a great Christmas this year!!! i get a job, a soldier, a digital camera, and an alpaca teddy bear! i couldn't ask for more :)

my latest obsession is alpaca teddy bears. i think i'm going to buy like 3 of them with Christmas money. they are sooooooo cute! check it out: http://www.alpacanation.com/alpaca-products/03_viewproduct_store.asp?name=102427
pretty much when the world is getting me down (GROUP PROJECTS), i just think of alpaca teddy bears and how cute they are and i automatically feel better! i wish i had a real one right now. i would never let it go and i would even take it to class :) haha.
speaking of group projects, fucking thank the Lord that my law project is over. i think the presentation went ok...i don't know...and i won't know until i get my final grade for the class. but i think we explained everything well and no one was too nervous in front of the class. the paper on the other hand, is a totally different story. i have no idea how that actually turned out. by the time i finally finished it, i had forgotten how to read. i think that was partially because the papers that i got from the people in my group were written by 4th graders, so my english comprehension level had been severely dumbed down. so yeah, not so sure how it really turned out. i guess we'll see. i think i saved enough of it to get a decent grade, but it was reeeeeally rough that's for sure. and in case you are wondering, i can read again. i retaught myself by reading some real estate law and philosophy.
which brings me to my next group project: philosophy. actually going pretty decently well. and it's actually fun too! i get to argue about letting the absolutely poor people in the world die off instead of sending aid to them. excellent. it should be a good time. and my group members are thankfully not retards either. they are all younger than me but can read, speak, and write at a college level. (instead of 4th grade like my law group, who were all seniors or older.) it's very refreshing! i guess it can be expected since it's an honors class. but still, i can understand we honors students might be of a higher caliber than the "regular" college students, but that still leaves them NO EXCUSE to be idiots and write research papers in the first and second person. anyway, though this group project is coming up fast and we're not totally prepared yet, i know it will be fine. plus the paper is only 4 to 5 pages, not 12. phew.
last group project is for marketing. and what i have to say about that is fuck marketing. i like the girls in my group and the project should turn out fine. but man i hate that class. and i can't stand the prof. i think i am going to burn down his house and break his arms so that he can't do anything. i'd feel vindicated if i could save even one semester's worth of students from having to take his horrid class.
still haven't heard anything from centex. or anyone for that matter :( looks like i don't get a job for Christmas. poop. at least i get my very own soldier for Christmas. maybe he'll help me burn down my marketing prof's house...
my cat is driving me insane. what the hell is wrong with him. seriously. is it a full moon? is he ill? i hope he's not ill...i would just die...i seriously might kill myself if anything ever happened to my cat. so everybody hope that he stays healthy for the next 60 or so years. and as i look at him laying there sleeping on my bed, he looks so quiet and peaceful and just plain adorable. i am reminded of why i got a kitty. and when i am freaking out and swearing about 4 hours from now because he is pawing at my refrigerator magnets, knocking my shot glasses off my entertainment center, pawing at the door, jumping up on my computer, spilling glasses of water, and knocking pens on the floor, i will be reminded of why so many people hate cats. what a freaking pain in my rear end! but ugh, i can't help but love him anyway.
i'm tired. i wish i could fall asleep to someone playing with my hair. soon enough. well, not soon enough at all. if that was going to happen tomorrow it wouldn't be soon enough. and no sunshine for the rest of the week. *sigh* guess i'll just have to rely on alpaca teddy bears to bring me through my group projects and keep me happy and sane.

group projects are ruining my life.
hearing back, or lack of hearing back, from interviews is stressing me out.
i miss sunshine.
staying up until 6am talking doesn't make me miss him less.
i have concluded that i am surrounded by retards.
seniors in college write at a 4th grade level.
i am still depressed about losing my pics from NYC and disneyworld.
it's cold and snowy and i'm not really a fan.
i am actually excited to go home for a little while.
i am even more excited to get back up here.
new year's should be a pretty kick ass time.
i still hate spiders.
my windshield wipers are all fucked up and i need to get an oil change...oops.
i don't think i can wait till Christmas to get my digital camera.
i should be working on my group paper right now.
army uniforms are hot.
i need some extra money.
i love my cat and i want to get another kitty and also a puppy.
i hope i get a job for Christmas.
the packers are really letting me down this season.
i like it when bill comes over to visit with me.
i miss my grandma minnie a lot.
i wish i had siblings.
i can't wait to see my niece ashlynn at Christmastime.
i don't think the important people in my life should have to go overseas ever.
i do think the important people in my life should have cell phones.
i like my blog even though no one but me reads it.
my bed is so comfortable and it's calling my name.
nap time.

annoying/quirky things about my trip to and from columbus, OH today:
1) Ohio has only country stations. multitudes of them. once you get past Toledo, you better like the twang or you're out of luck for radio stations.
2) Toledo, for being such a shithole, actually has a lot of great radio stations.
3) this trip again reconfirmed my hatred for michigan drivers. they are all awful. AWFUL. no exceptions. sorry.
4) the lady who had a headlight out and kept putting her fucking brights on on the fucking freeway. WHAT is wrong with you!!!???!!! you still can't put your fucking brights on because you BLIND EVERYONE ELSE ON THE FREEWAY!!! and she actually kept them on into oncoming traffic. awesome. what a nice lady. she also decided to play catch up and pass, catch up and pass with me. which was a fun little game.
5) the STUPID BASTARD in the fucking stupid jeep commando...oh you're sooooo cooooool by the way...who FUCKING FLASHED ME to try to get me to move over. haha, joke's on you buddy, not gonna happen you piece of shit. (that was in michigan.)
6) is there a separate speed limit for SUVs?? am i not going fast enough going 81 in a 70? guess not.
it was a long, interesting day. but ohio wasn't that bad. at least columbus was not. in fact, i liked it. i would live there if i got an offer from this company. it's a nice city with a lot of great culture and new, fun things to do. oh and good eating too. yum yum. i hope people would come visit me if i lived in columbus...
my eyeballs hurt.
and i almost forgot the most important song lyrics:
I’ve been waiting so long
To be where I’m going
In the sunshine of your looooooooooooooove

so joss stone is the current soundtrack to my life right now. with a little used mixed in there. strange combination, i know, but my music tastes are all over the board.
Oh, my beating heart wants you
And my empty arms need you
Don't you go, please stay
And never try to send me away
~Joss, I've Fallen In Love with You
I got jet lag and I never even left the ground
See it's like that every time you come around
Oh, I'm so hung over and I never even touched a drop
See I can't get enough
This must be love
~Joss, Jet Lag
I'm melting
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
And I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
Now
Let's sleep till the sun burns out
I'm melting in your eyes
~The Used, I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes)
Do, Do you, Do you know?
Do you know how long I've waited?
To look up from below,
Just to find someone like you?
And will your love light burn me baby?
Burn a hole right through my heart
I think I might just trust you, maybe
But I'm not sure
I'm not sure I wanna know
I'm so far gone now
I been running on empty
I'm so far gone now
Do you wanna take me on?
~The Used, Lunacy Fringe
oh, there's more. i just think it might be a little annoying to fill up my entire blog with song lyrics. but sometimes they are the best way to convey what you can't put into your own words. especially since my own words can only come up with "i'm so happy." oh well, i guess that kind of says it all in a way.
Oh, my beating heart wants you
And my empty arms need you
Don't you go, please stay
And never try to send me away
~Joss, I've Fallen In Love with You
I got jet lag and I never even left the ground
See it's like that every time you come around
Oh, I'm so hung over and I never even touched a drop
See I can't get enough
This must be love
~Joss, Jet Lag
I'm melting
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
And I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
Now
Let's sleep till the sun burns out
I'm melting in your eyes
